UXC merges its consulting groups to form UXC Consulting
Melbourne, Australia, August 2011
UXC has launched its merged consultancy entities under the name of UXC Consulting, in line with its new simplified business structure. Nick Mescher has been appointed the CEO of UXC Consulting which brings the businesses of GQ-AAS, Lucid IT, Planpower and Opticon together under one brand. UXC Consulting is part of UXC Limited, which is ranked by Gartner as the largest Australian-owned provider of ICT consulting services based on market share for 2010.1
Following the merger on July 1, 2011, UXC Consulting’s combined new business has a commanding presence in the Australian market, with more than 250 employees across the region providing deep domain expertise and thought-leadership across the company’s seven practice areas.
As CEO of UXC Consulting Nick Mescher leads a team of highly experienced specialists who offer business, IT management and technology advice, as well as professional project services, research and training to large corporate and government departments across Australia and South East Asia. According to Mescher, the merge into UXC Consulting delivers broader opportunities to the highly experienced consulting team who continue to provide deep domain expertise and thought leadership to a range of top tier Australian organisations.
“We recognise that our clients are undergoing an immense period of change across all areas of their organisation, from a technology standpoint as well as the evolution of the market and product competition,” said Mescher. “As such we have structured UXC Consulting to be an agile partner, providing relevant advice and services that enable our clients to uplift their delivery capability against their strategic agendas.”
UXC Consulting’s primary services are developed and delivered from its seven practices; strategy and architecture, information management, business transformation, IT service management, telecommunications advisory, enterprise communications and project, portfolio and programme management. In addition UXC Consulting provides deep specialised intelligence regarding emerging markets and game changers as they arise through its Emerging Technology and Innovation Practice. At this time it includes cloud computing, BYO computing and mobility.
The merge of UXC Consulting is part of UXC’s overall strategy to provide a simplified business structure and a stronger go-to-market strategy locally, and is in line with the recent merger of its ICT infrastructure business units into UXC Connect.
